Why it works

What microneedling does, and why a nurse does it here.

Microneedling makes thousands of tiny, controlled channels in the skin. Skin treats them as small injuries and renews over the next weeks, which over a series can soften texture and some acne scarring. The change is gradual and it varies; we photograph nothing for marketing and promise nothing.

It is a needle treatment with real infection and pigment risks if done badly, so here it is done by a registered nurse who has done hundreds, under a physician's protocol that covers depth, sterile technique and when to stop.

Three sessions over the winter. My acne scars are softer, not gone, which is exactly what Theo said would happen.

Illustrative story, microneedling

The consult took longer than I expected and asked about things nobody else had. That was the reason I booked.
