A 75-minute facial in Charleston, built on the day from your skin.
Not a menu item with a fixed script. Your esthetician reads your skin under the lamp, asks what changed since last time, and builds the seventy-five minutes from there. Your routine is checked at the end.
Seventy-five minutes with a licensed esthetician, start to finish, no handoffs.
Double cleanse, skin reading, exfoliation chosen for the day, extractions if needed, mask and massage.
Your routine reviewed at the end, written changes only if something needs to change.
Results vary from person to person. Nothing on this page is a promise of an outcome, and a treatment may be postponed or declined if your skin is not ready for it.
Why it works
Why the facial changes every visit.
Skin in Charleston in August is not skin in Charleston in January. The same person can be dehydrated and oily, reactive in pollen season and calm by autumn. A fixed facial treats the menu, not the person. Ours starts with a reading and a question, and the steps follow from both.
The last ten minutes are the part people remember: your esthetician goes through your routine card and changes one thing at most. Most visits, nothing changes, and we say so.

Who this is for, and who it is not
For
Anyone who wants a facial that answers to their skin on the day, not a menu.
Clients maintaining a routine between seasons.
First-timers after a Skin Audit, who want the full version.
Not for, or not yet
Skin with an active rash, infection or a cold sore; we reschedule.
Anyone who has used a prescription retinoid in the last few days without telling us; we adjust, so tell us.
Anyone who wants to leave with a bag of products. We will disappoint you.
Simone opened Seaholly in 2019 after a decade in spas where every facial ended at the product counter. She runs the Skin Audit, writes most of the routines, and is the reason the studio sells so little.
Grace leads the acne facials and dermaplaning and keeps the humidity notes for every client. Grew up on James Island and has opinions about pollen season.

Illustrative stories. Seaholly is a fictional studio; these are written examples, not client reviews.
Simone changed the whole facial when I told her I had been in the sun all weekend. No script, just attention.
The routine check at the end took two minutes and changed nothing. That was oddly reassuring.
It is built on the day. The reading at the start decides the exfoliation, whether extractions happen, the mask and the massage. Two visits a month apart may look nothing alike.
Will you do extractions?
Only what is ready to come out, and only with your agreement. Forcing extractions is how facials cause breakouts.
Can I wear makeup after?
You can, but most people leave it until the next morning. We put sunscreen on before you go.
Can I add dermaplaning?
Yes, for $45, if your skin suits it on the day.
Do I need a Skin Audit first?
It is the usual first visit, but not required. If you book a facial first, your esthetician will ask about your routine at the start.
